Back to School Bash!
What: Councillor Mike Jamieson’s Back to School Bash is intended to bring families together as they engage in the new school year while showcasing the many community partners, organizations, and public safety agencies that help make our communities great places to live! It will be a fun opportunity for families from across Ward 12 and Southeast Calgary to connect with one another, meet local and City organizations, and enjoy a great day in the community.
This event will feature a wide variety of family-friendly activities and attractions, including Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, Bylaw Services, Mobility Safety, local businesses, interactive games and activities for children, bouncy castles, a petting zoo, face painting, food trucks, and much more. Councillor Mike Jamieson will be attending, and we are also expecting a visit from Mayor Farkas. We will also be raising money for a local Calgary Charity (to be announced) via a raffle to dunk the Councillor and other City leaders in a dunk tank.
When: Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School (19480 45 Street SE)
Who: Everyone from Ward 12 and Southeast Calgary
Cost: FREE! Through the generosity of sponsors and community partners, all activities are free for children and families, and even some food options will be provided at no cost. Attendees will only need to purchase food or beverages beyond those sponsored offerings.
